This Fly bye t-shirt created to kill flies and fly insects. You don’t need to be annoyed or feel pain to get flies away in summer of Melbourne. As you know you can see lots of flies at least 30 flies on you or other people’s back on the street. In the back of your t-shirt, there is a sticky tape, which can capture all the flies, insect and even mosquitoes. Also, the part of sticky tape, which designed with point with target mark, It can also used a game tool, when your children is bored, you can give it to your children simply.

Even it has useful and comfortable function of killing flies, it is useless because the sticker will not be long to use and there will be dusts, which can loss the sticky character.

Today’s world, everything is changing so quickly. Stores on the streets are changing, people’s clothes are changing, songs on the top 10 list are changing, the posters on the streets are changing.

In this changing world, medium is in the middle of changing circle.Medium means everything nowadays. TV, radio, magazine, internet and so on. There are many way to create medium and design the medium. It is getting harder to distinguish which design and which medium is good. As a design student, I confused about what is good design sometimes.

Medium is communication. People talk through the medium. We should be more careful using media to communicate people. On the internet we write words and let other people see. People sometimes does not recognize how hard to get other people’s meaning less but harmful word. The word sometimes turns to knife and could kill people. Actually, some people kill themselves after reading some article about them.

I am not a computer generation. Well, let me change my word. I am not familiar with computer and the internet. I used to play out side with my friends until sunset. Many people were at the playground. Few years ago, I was worried about today’s kids. They are exposed to the information in the internet. They play computer games at home. They do not play out side like what I did. The internet gives some bad influence to kid. Sexual and violent site deliver wrong information. However, I am talking about good side of using internet, now. They can have many information so their dream might be different. The internet and computer give them more possibilities.

At the tram stop, there are many advertisements are displayed. Every morning I meet posters of companies of product. The posters are changed frequently. They deliver the information for about 5-7 days and it changed. Some posters could not give the enough information to the viewer and they were changed. To be a survival poster, it has to give strong impression or make them curious to see closer. The designer has many tasks to care of before it show in the public.

To make a good designed medium, communicate well with the audience. Medium is the massage. We have to be careful and we send or deliver the massage.

This film is introducing what is global warming. The film is using easy and strong structure to tell people. What is golbal warming, what is good thing and what is bad thing. Then they introduce their clothes. The voice said ‘Wait. Global warming can’t stop our lives!’ then showing the clothes.

It may good thing for the company. They could get two rabbits. One, be participate global warming movement. Two, advertise their clothes.

Well my opinion is different. They are not participate the campaign. They are ruinning the campaign. Making people confuse about the seriousness of global warming.

First, The voice wasn’t serious. The voice is not delivering serious massages to us.

Second, Showing good thing and bad thing are not enough tp get the attention. Specially, containing good thing.

Last, End of watching film, feeling more lighter and frehed. If its getting hotter I will buy a cool clothes then, that’s what I read from the film.

The issue has to be serious to get the attention. If it turns to be funny or people think that the issue is far from reality, then the other effort has to change their think.

There is a time issue to change people’s behaviour after change their thought. This AD is disturbing the first stage of global warming campaign.

Today, I remembered one video which I have seen in the class. It was about nike and power ranger. I could not understand the whole concept of the video. The story is like this. On the street, one man is holding brief case and wearing suit. He seems going to work. Then power rangers came. They were colourful. They seems to stop him and the man is trying to go his way. More power ranger came and try to stop him. He started to running out of them. More power ranger came and running after the man. He seems did not know why he was chased after by them. Anyway he he was running and more power rangers came to screen. Finally, they caught them and took off every clothes on him. He was naked. They provided pink power ranger costume with pink sneakers. He liked it. He showed some movement like power ranger did. While they were celebrating him to be a member(?) of them another man was founded by one of power raners. He was wearing suit and holding a brife case. They started chase him and he started runing away. Then the text were shown on the screen ‘Play colourful’. That’s the story of the film.

What I understand about this film is that make audience intrigue at the beginning. Showing little bit of its product and showi what they wanted to saying by text. 

What I don’t understand is why power ranger? Why the company focused on its colour? Is it saying that ‘I am colourful so you have to be colourful too?’ or ‘Let’s be the one with our product’. Do they also wanted to say its comfortable? ‘We have great colour range of product so you can easily choose suitable colour for your clothes’ is that what the video saying?

Rest of the class mates laughed while they were watching the vedio but not me. They could have another design soloution for this. In my point of view,  if the power ranger concept is aiming for the audiences who are younger than 25, it could be a successful AD. However, who does not know about Power ranger and Who does not like cosplay will not attemped by this AD.
